Chicken Pizza

As some of you know, i´m in Mexico right now. Isla Mujeres off the coast of Cancún to be exact. I got here on Dec 24th. the trip was uneventful. People in Houston talk funny.

Mostly i´ve been hanging out beside the ocean or beside the pool. The weater has been pretty much sunny sunny sunny and... oh ya, more sun!

I went snorkelling one day. the fishes were pretty sweet. Very colourful and fun to watch. We ended up on a boat with some People from Utah. they talked funny too. I think they were mormons. Cause it was a family with 6 kids. My dad was gonna ask the dad if he had more than one wife. he ddin´t. i think itwoulda been funny!

Today we went to Chichen Itza which are Mayan ruins about 2 hours from Cancún. They were pretty sweet. I climbed a really tall pyramid, 91 steps in all. It was really steep too. I think if i woulda stopped halfway to the top and looked back, i woulda been stuck on that step for days. (due to my sometimes fear of heights) Luckily, i just kept climbing and i´m here to write this blog. ¿aren´t you lucky? haha i like how i can do the ¿¿¿¿

Oh ya, we went swimming in some underground cave too. some little kid kept going around asking for money so he´d jump from like 30ft up or smething. crazylittle bugger.

¿do you know how hard it is to find a frisbee in this place?? it´s taken since we got here til this morning to find one and it´s only a dinky little one!!! oh well. it´s better than nothing!!

oh ya, my parents -well msotly my mom.... in fact it´s just my mom- is driving me nuts. and my brother is a louder sleeper than i am. he snores on the in and the out aaaaaand he gurgles. it sounds like he´s dying. I´m sleeping on the couch tonight because he keeps waking me up!

Dressed to kill you look so right

It's 12.10am on Dec 24th. I just finished packing for Mexico approxiamatley 10 minutes ago. I have to get up in 4 hours to catch a plane.... and then another plane .... and then another plane.... and then a limo-van.... and then a ferry.... and then a golf cart perhaps.... and then i'm gonna have a Cervesa on the Beach! I'll be staying at the Nauti Beach resort on Isla Mujeres with mi familia. I haven't been to Mexico since um... 1993 so this will be interesting. I'll actually get to use my Spanish from Class! haha

I guess an update as to what i've been doing.... well I've pretty much been living at the library for the past month and working at the chocolate shop. I wrote 2 finals yesterday and then went for beer at Louis' with Lando and Marek. Then i went home and got changed and whatnot and went to a potluck with the Girls at Tova's. It was awesome. I think i pretty much ate nothing but nachos and dry ribs that entire day. After the potluck, Britoni, Alanna and i went to Winston's for a Curling Beer night. It was for a couple of the guys on my Ultimate Frisbee team so there were lots and lots of ultimate players. By the end of the night, both Donny and Brett had danced on the table, which is what i was promised would happen when i signed up for it. haha. After Winston's we went to Athena's where we hung out til it closed. We didn't know what to do so a couple of us hopped in the Karla's car and headed over to Wal-mart which just happened to be open all night! We didn't buy anything but i ran into Vanessa and Shelby. the place was PACKED! pretty crazy for 230am. Karla and I dropped off Donny, his bro, Damon and the roommate at their house and checked out the Christmas photos that Donny and his roommates got in their Christmas Sweaters! So hilarious. All in all, it was a fantastic night and a great way to celebrate the end of finals!!

k. plane leaves in 6 hours. time for bed.

Christmas Lights

K, so i'm supposed to be studying for spanish right now.... but instead i found this Christmas Lights thing.... Now, do you think the people who live at that house are sitting in side and flicking the lights on and off in time to the music.... or do they have one of those nifty gadgets that does it for them.... hmmm....

His Name's Doom...

A couple saturdays ago, Britoni, Derek, Jake, Pat and some other people were at the soccer center while i was playing Ultimate. Pat heckled a bit. Jake waved a couple times - you know, to show support. I got to drive the Tempo on the way home while Derek and Britoni had a super crazy dance party. Britoni hurt her arm 'cause she was dancing so hard.

P.S. We won the game. Yay!

Shoe Detective

Ya that's right. I find stolen shoes!

So the story starts off with me going to a House Concert at the Bisoneer Lodge. ChimpanA to ChimpanZ were playing with A Bleeding Alarm out of Kelowna and some other band that i don't know the name of, but it's a bunch of guys who are in other local bands.

It's winter so people were taking their shoes off at the door. It was a sunday night so, of course, there were a couple kegs of beer. (Although, I did not partake.) The bands were pretty good. It's definitley a different way to see bands playing... for the Chimpan set, there were people surrounding the band while they were playing. It was pretty rad, if i do say so myself!

I went on a beer run after the keg ran out (i bought chips, cause i'm cool like that) with Lando and Amber. On the way out, I noticed this drunk girl trying to find shoes so she could go to her car. Lando ran after her to make sure she wasn't trying to drive away (how responsible!), which she wasn't. When we got back, she was passed out in the driver seat with a beer in her hand, an empty bag of chips and really loud music playing. She was ok, so i just left her.

Once i got back inside, Sam and Ewan (from the Breaks) were looking for one of Sam's shoes. They had been searching for a good 20 mins by that point I think, so i helped look too. Then I received a stroke of brilliance! THe drunk passed out girl, she didn't take her own shoes! So Ewan and I went to go see. It was dark and we couldn't tell, so we opened the door and shook the girl. no response. shook her again. no response. I wanted to honk the horn and scare the hell out of her, but Ewan thought it was too late and he didn't want to give the girl a heartattack. Then her friend came running out, and woke her friend, then we got her out of the driver's side and into the passenger seat, retrieved the shoe and Ewan and I went back inside to give it back to Sam.

SO there you go, Kirsty Taylor as a Shoe Detective!

In other news, today was the last day of classes. My first exam is on friday. Bio-organic Chem.... it's gonna be a tough one... eek.

Thrice, Circa Survive and MCR are tomorrow night. SHould be a most excellent show. Thrice has a new album out (which i've mentioned before) so i'm excited to hear it in Concert! I haven't heard Circa Survive before but i think it'll be deece. aaand MCR, well, we'll just see if i stay for that one....

Grey's Anatomy is my new favourite show. So much drama. Me Gusta.
